Below are some of my best projects completed during my time at Rancho Santiago Community College District as a Desktop Publishing Technician. Throughout my role, I had the opportunity to create a wide range of print and digital media, including catalogs, business cards, schedules, table covers, signs, marketing materials, and more. These projects showcase my attention to detail, versatility, and ability to create professional designs that align with organizational branding and communication needs.

I design business cards for RSCCD, SCC, and SAC using Adobe InDesign, utilizing Text Variables to improve efficiency, maintain consistency, and streamline the design process. I also use a standardized template compatible with the printers in Publishing to ensure accurate and efficient production.

SCC division of continuing education schedule
Organized the Santiago Canyon College Fall 2026 Division of Continuing Education Schedule, including designing a new front and back cover and editing, formatting, and organizing the content. The covers were created in Adobe Illustrator, while the schedule was designed and assembled in Adobe InDesign. To ensure proper printing, I used the Separations Preview to verify that all black text was set to 100% black and confirmed that the correct crop marks and bleeds were included when exporting the final PDF.

SAC SCHOOL of continuing education STATE CERTIFICATES BOOK
Organized and designed the Santa Ana College 2026–2027 School of Continuing Education State Certificates Book. I edited and refined the content, redesigned the graphics to align with SAC’s branding, and created the cover design to provide a cohesive and professional look throughout the publication.

RSCCD Annual security book
Organized and edited the 2026 RSCCD Annual Security Book. I edited and enhanced the provided photos and strategically placed them throughout the publication. I also assisted with editing and formatting the content and charts to ensure consistency and readability. Additionally, I designed the new front cover, creating a professional and cohesive look for the annual publication.

commencement books
Produced the SAC and SCC Commencement books, editing and preparing both publications in Adobe InDesign. I ensured each file was properly formatted and exported with the correct crops and bleeds for print production.
For the SCC Commencement Book, I prepared the front and back covers (inside and outside) as a separate export with the required crops and bleeds because the covers were being printed on a different printer. I then exported the book’s interior pages, or “guts,” as a separate file without crops and bleeds to meet the printer’s specifications.

I created a variety of materials for the Santiago Canyon College Commencement ceremony, including staff commencement badges, diplomas, and venue signage. I designed and prepared each piece with careful attention to branding, layout, typography, and print specifications to ensure consistency across all commencement materials.

parking signs
I created a variety of parking signs for SCC and SAC that are displayed throughout both campuses. Each sign was designed to clearly communicate parking regulations and directions while maintaining consistency with the colleges’ branding and visual standards.

I designed acrylic signs for the Math Success Center and The STAR Center at Santiago Canyon College. The signs were created to provide clear, professional identification while maintaining consistency with the campus branding and visual standards.

I designed multiple custom table covers for Santiago Canyon College in partnership with Student Services. Below are two examples showcasing my ability to create branded materials that are both professional and visually engaging. I collaborated with Student Services to develop designs that aligned with their needs and SCC’s branding. I also ensured each design followed the exact measurements and specifications provided in the printer’s template and prepared the final files according to the printing company’s requirements for accurate production.
